The application process is different for everyone. After the initial conversation about the need with our Repair Project Manager, Habitat staff will do an assessment on your home to determine the nature of the critical repairs. If the need is there, we will follow up with you after materials are ordered on when the repairs will take place.
Yes! Applicants will need to sign a contract agreeing not to sell the home over a certain timeframe after the repairs are made.
Assistance is based on urgency of need, eligibility and special needs factors, without regard to race, creed, sex, color, national origin, religion, or sexual orientation.
Absolutely. Contact our Home Repair Program Manager at 828-862-5116 if you feel that you’re qualified for critical home repairs, and we’ll get the application process started.
